Canadian Red Cross – Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis

Canadians wishing to help are encouraged to donate to the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal.

  • Financial donations to the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal can be made online at redcross.ca or by calling 1-800-418-1111 or by texting UKRAINE to 20222 to donate $10.
  • Money raised by the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal will allow the Canadian Red Cross to send personnel, equipment and funds to support the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement response in Ukraine and surrounding countries, including support to those displaced. This could include preparedness, immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long-term recovery, resiliency, and other humanitarian activities as needs arise.
  • The Canadian Red Cross is continuously recruiting volunteers to assist with disaster responses in Canada. If interested in volunteering with the Red Cross, visit www.redcross.ca/volunteer
  •  The Canadian Red Cross Restoring Family Links Program helps people re-establish contact with their family members when separated by natural disasters or emergencies. If you are looking for someone who isn’t a Canadian citizen, please contact your local Canadian Red Cross office to confidentially discuss your request with a trained volunteer or staff member or visit us online at www.redcross.ca/familylinks

How can I help?

The best way to support the Red Cross in helping those impacted by this emergency is with a financial donation. Financial donations to the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal can be made:

    • online at redcross.ca
    • by calling 1-800-418-1111 or by texting UKRAINE to 20222 to donate $10.
  • Community fundraisers: If you are looking to set up an online fundraising page or want to hold a fundraising event, simply complete a form at www.redcross.ca/CommunityFundraising and one of our fundraising specialists will follow up with you.
  • In-kind donations: The Canadian Red Cross does not accept in-kind donations of food, clothing and other items. While well-intentioned, miscellaneous items may not be what affected people require and would incur storage, processing and transportation costs. Funds raised allow the Red Cross to respond to the most pressing needs and support the most vulnerable.
