Premier Doug Ford issued the following statement to commemorate Black History Month:

“Today marks the beginning of Black History Month, a time to honour the legacy of Black Ontarians throughout our province’s history and today. Ontario’s diversity is one of our greatest strengths and Black Ontarians and their communities have done so much to contribute to our province.

Black History Month is also a time to reaffirm our commitment to fight racism and discrimination in all its forms, and work together to build a more inclusive Ontario where everyone, regardless of their race, has the opportunity to succeed.
