Two (2) Permanent Full-Time Truck Drivers

The Municipality of Wawa requires two (2) Truck Drivers within the Infrastructure Services Department.  Reporting to the Assistant Director of Infrastructure Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of trucks and equipment required to maintain the existing municipal infrastructure.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

1.     Must have and maintain a valid “DZ” driver license.

2.     Must have a minimum three (3) years large truck driving experience; preference to municipal related truck and winter control experience.

3.     Must be a Grade 12 graduate.

4.     Must be in good physical condition.

5.     Mechanical repair knowledge and aptitude.

6.     Must be able to work overtime/shift work when requested.

7.     Ability to operate all municipal trucks, small vehicles and equipment.

8.     Required to perform physical labour.

Wage, pension and benefit package are in accordance with the USW collective agreement.

Shifts: Mon to Fri 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Winter Schedule: 3-week rotation with 1 week being night shift

Hourly wage: $38.67
