Notice of Intention to Declare Surplus and Dispose of Municipal Property

Pursuant to the Municipality of Wawa’s “Giving of Public Notice By-law 3343-20 (Policy PR-004) and By-Law 3180-19 regulating the “Sale and Other Disposition of Municipal Land” (Policy AD-002), take notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Wawa proposes to declare surplus and dispose of the following municipal property:

39 Algoma Street, described as Part 2 – Plan IR-6820, in the Municipality of Wawa

The Corporation of the Municipality of Wawa is the registered owner of the lands described as Part 2 of Plan IR-6820 . The land is approximately 2.11 acres. Council will consider a motion to declare the property surplus and intends to sell the land to a private developer for the purposes of a housing development on June 2, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at its Regular Council Meeting to be held in the Council Chambers, 40 Broadway Avenue.

Any person wishing to be heard regarding this matter must contact the Clerk’s office or provide written comments before 12:00 p.m. (noon), June 1, 2026.  If the matter is deferred by Council, no further public notice will be given.
