Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned skier, Wawa’s trails offer something for everyone. Our scenic routes range from easy loops perfect for families and beginners, to longer, more challenging tracks for those seeking a workout with a view. Each trail immerses you in the pristine natural beauty of Algoma Country.

There are over 10 km of perfectly groomed trails to skate ski or cross country.  Beautiful views can be seen on any of the seven loops and trails, including different levels from Green, easy to Black being difficult.

Our ski trails are lovingly maintained by local volunteers of the Wawa Ski Club who work tirelessly all winter to groom, clear, and care for each route. Their dedication ensures a safe, enjoyable experience for every visitor — and their warm Northern hospitality is just as welcoming as the trails themselves.

Plan Your Visit

Getting here is easy — Wawa is located along the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 17), about 225 km north of Sault Ste. Marie.

Located just minutes from downtown Wawa, trail access is convenient with entrance to the trails at the Wawa Municipal Airport located on Hwy 101 across from the famous Wawa Goose and Tourist Information Centre. 

Purchase a Pass

To purchase a ski pass, please go to the Michipicoten Memorial Centre located at 3 Chris Simon drive.  Trail pass cost is $30 for an individual or $60 for a family, cash only.

Trailhead parking and route maps are also available, and local businesses are ready to welcome you with hot drinks, hearty meals, and cozy accommodations after your ski.
