NOTICE

Discharge of Firearms for Predator Control
(Coyotes and Wolves)

Please be advised that the Municipality of Wawa has authorized the discharge of firearms to specific, qualified individuals for the control of coyotes and wolves within certain areas in the Municipality of Wawa.

The areas are known as the Michipicoten Golf Course, snow dump off Tamarack Street, municipal gravel pit beside Hardy Street in the Mission and Wawa Creek between Magpie Road and south end of Montreal Avenue.

Predator control activities may occur in the specified locations from January 1 – March 31, and November 16 – December 31, 2026 and 2027, and any activities would be limited to 1/2 hour before sunrise until 9:30 a.m. and required notice signage posted.
