The Municipality's deadline for accepting summer student applications is April 15th of each year.

The Municipality of Wawa offers many opportunities for students to gain valuable experience and skills.

Who Is Eligible?
Students who have been in full-time attendance (September to April) at a University or College, and who will be returning to ful time studies in the fall.

Returning Summer Students
Students who are eligible for re-hire (students who worked for the Municipality of Wawa the previous summer and are returning to ful time studies in the fall), are also required to submit an application prior to the deadline. These students should notify their departments of their availability date for summer employment.

Positions Available
The Municipality has various workplace sites for summer students. These include Airport Attendants, Parks, Community Recreation Coordinator, Day Camp, Infrastructure Services Labourers, Aquatics Instructor, Travel Counsellors, and Special Event Coordinator. Some positions involve working evening and weekend shifts. All applications will be review by hiring managers who have positions available for summer students. Only those students who have been selected for interviews will be contacted.
