The Public Works Department oversees all aspects of infrastructure development, operation and management within the Municipality of Wawa.  Whether it be the supply and purification of water, collection and treatment maintenance of sewage, roads/sidewalks/boulevards, parks, cemeteries, airport and streetlights.  Snow removal, waste management, recreation planning, and the overall general care of the Town of Wawa and the Michipicoten River Village are included as well.  The department is also responsible for traffic control including signage, signals, and pavement markings.  All of these responsibilities are part of this diversified department.
