NOTICE: William Teddy Park CLOSURE

Posted on August 9, 2017 · Posted in Public Notices

PLEASE TAKE NOTE that due to continued vandalism and unauthorized dumping issues at William Teddy Park, the Municipality of Wawa is closing the park to vehicular traffic effective immediately. This is a measure to preserve the ecological health of the area as well as the water quality of Wawa Lake. The Municipality of Wawa is working with the Wawa OPP on solutions to this issue.

The Park will be closed to vehicular traffic indefinitely as the Municipality explores the sustainability of the Park.

The Park is still available on a walk-in basis for those who wish to enjoy it responsibly.

We appreciate your cooperation during this time.

Alex Patterson,
Director of Community Services and Tourism
Municipality of Wawa
