The Minister Responsible for Senior Affairs is now accepting nominations for the 2017 Senior of the Year Award.
This annual award was established in 1994 to give each municipality in Ontario the opportunity to honour one outstanding local senior, who after the age of 65 has enriched the social, cultural or civic life of his or her community.
A certificate, provided by the Ontario government is signed by Her Honour the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor, Minister Responsible for Seniors Affairs and the Head of local Council.
